The Make-To-Learn Symposium is taking place at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers on Wednesday, March 13 (the day before DML2013 begins) from 9am to 9pm. The event will bring together educators, designers and researchers committed to innovation, creativity, and community engagement centered on making, creating, and learning.
This one-day Symposium is part of the DML Research Hub's "Make-To-Learn Initiative" (http://dmlhub.net/initiatives/make-learn), and is free & open to the public. The Symposium will include:
- Hands-on Makerspace presentations
- Panels on placing making at the core of educational practices
- A Keynote by Dale Dougherty (creator of Maker Faire)
- An evening cocktail reception
