Job Description: The Senior Director of Education Leadership will lead the creation, curation, and dissemination of quality marketable education services, products, and resources aligned with ISTE’s mission to enable educators globally to create innovative and effective learning environments. As a member of the ISTE Leadership Team, this thought leader will help educators share best practices, solve problems, and collaborate in the creation of new methodologies and models, while leveraging ISTE services, products, and resources to achieve consistent and predictable revenue targets to fuel the organization and increase the reach of its mission globally.
Candidates must be strategic thinkers and skilled implementers impassioned about making a difference in the lives of learners by helping educators develop and remain current with digital age learning and teaching skills. Outstanding internal and external communications skills, including public speaking, facilitating, and training are required. The Senior Director of Education Leadership also must understand key concepts behind transformative leadership at the systems level, including practical application at all levels of the K-12 education enterprise, while having specific knowledge about the delivery and measurement of effective personal learning experiences. A track record of translating strategic ideas into positive results through skilled implementation will be essential. Candidates with demonstrated credibility in the field of education who are tapped into an active and current national (global preferred) network of leading educators will receive preference.
•Forge the future of ISTE’s marketable education services, products, and resources aligned with ISTE’s mission and lead the creation, curation, and dissemination of these offerings
•Serve on the ISTE Leadership Team to help educators share best practices, solve problems, and collaborate in the creation of new methodologies and models
•Leverage services, products, and resources to achieve consistent and predictable revenue targets that fuel the organization and increase the reach of its mission
•Provide leadership and guidance to ensure ISTE’s mission and philosophy are embedded and showcased in all ISTE professional development offerings, including ISTE-produced conferences
•Actively monitor and foster quality, impact, and user satisfaction of education offerings
•Lead revenue generation and guide the development of new products and services
•Set individual, departmental, and organizational goals and objectives and provide leadership and support to accomplish them
Candidates must have a master’s degree in Education and five years related experience, or equivalent; highly developed knowledge of the field of education, educational technology, and high-quality professional development delivery models; and strong program and personnel management skills. A doctorate in Education and extensive experience in education with an emphasis in school change management, education leadership, technology integration, professional development leadership, and knowledge of the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) is preferred.
