Game Changer Chicago
(an organization that I started with Melissa Gilliam at the University of Chicago) is looking to hire someone with a background in game design, web design, and/or digital storytelling. The position involves contributing to a variety of game and digital story projects in the field of health-oriented learning and working with youth in Chicago in a range of creative workshop settings. Here is a brief description of Game Changer:
"Game Changer Chicago is a signature initiative of the Center for Interdisciplinary Inquiry and Innovation in Sexual and Reproductive Health (Ci3) that uses gameplay and game design to create youth-directed, problem-based, collaborative, and networked learning opportunities. Games are co-created in workshops with urban youth and combine educator and student perspectives on the biological, psychological, social and political systems surrounding sexual and reproductive health. School-based curricula focus on increasing knowledge, improving self-efficacy, and supporting healthy behavior and relationships while exploring emerging strategies for education in a digital age."
