Augmenting the Learning Experience with Collaborative Reflection
This workshop is organised jointly by the FP7 MIRROR and ImREAL projects: After an introductory morning with presentations of innovative research around the concept of Reflective Learning, the workshop objective will be: investigating how to augment learning experiences with collaborative reflection. In particular, it aims at investigating how to shape a meaningful learning scenario around a simulation, and how to augment the simulated content in order to keep the simulation realistically mapping changing and complex real-world environments as well as to train learners to act between these.
The workshop will last for a whole day and be divided into two parts: The morning session will be dedicated to facilitating knowledge exchange among researchers interested in collaborative reflection and how it leads to learning and creative problem solving. For details see the Call for Papers. The afternoon session will be a set of interactive activities, from interacting with a simulation, to discussion, to using creative techniques for participatory design around the augmentation of the training experience. For details see Interactive Session.
The target group is researchers and interested people in the field of technology enhanced learning.
It is possible to participate to the afternoon session also without having attended the morning session!
