Special inviation to the HASTAC Community to submit work for a reading of electronic literature at the upcoming SLSA conference. The Society for Literature, Science, and Arts not only shares two (or really three) of HASTAC's anagram words, it also shares HASTAC's priorities of fostering collaboration in the intersection of the scientific, artistic, and humanistic disciplines.
Of course, electronic literature emerges from that intersection as well, making SLSA an ideal venue for digital literary artists to present their work.
I wanted to share a call with HASTAC artists for a reading of electronic literature that is going to take place on September 29th at this year's SLSA conference in Milwaukee.
This reading will be part of SLSA's official program and so it presents a high-profile venue for artists to share the work with an audience that is already interested in how digital culture is trasnforming the arts.
The deadline is only about a week away, though, so don't dally!
Whether playing to the new aesthetic or re-imagining the literary tradition, emerging works are responding to and shaping the changing nature of reading.
