David Theo Goldberg, Director of the UC Humanities Research Institute and Co-Founder of HASTAC; Mark Surman, Executive Director at Mozilla; and Connie Yowell, Director of Education for U.S. Programs at the MacArthur Foundation, will join Bill Clinton, 42nd President of the United States and Founding Director of the Clinton Global Initiative to announce the MacArthur Foundation’s commitment to badging.

Sheryl Grant, Director of Social Networking for the HASTAC/MacArthur Foundation Digital Media and Learning Competition and HASTAC's subject matter expert on digital learning and alternative assessment, will also represent HASTAC at the event.
