Tenure-track appointment in computer science at the assistant professor level beginning August 1, 2014.
We seek a faculty member with broad teaching and research interests who will support and enhance the computer science curriculum at all levels, and who can collaborate with colleagues and students across disciplinary lines in a liberal arts environment. Excellence in classroom teaching and an active research program in which undergraduate students can participate are essential. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for and interest in helping guide the expansion of our existing computer science program into a major. The teaching load is four courses in the first year, and five courses per year thereafter.
Davidson faculty are expected to advise students and participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives, including committee service.
Undergraduate teaching experience is strongly preferred.
