YouTube Play looking for best video art, feature for Guggenheim exhibit, deadline July 31

Dear HASTAC friends, this announcement just came down the pipe. If you have videos on hand that can be submitted for this, take a look.

Contest: YouTube Play . It's a program YouTube launched with the Guggenheim to find the best video art and feature it in a show at the Guggenheim this fall.

Details:
YouTube Play is a celebration of creative video. Videos will be accepted until July 31, 2010, via this channel (at the top where it says “Submit a video”).

The Guggenheim will identify up to 200 videos viewable on youtube.com/play in September. A jury of experts comprising celebrated figures from the worlds of art, graphic design, film, and entertainment will select up to 20 videos submitted to be presented at the Guggenheim Museum on October 21, 2010 at an exclusive private event.

The videos will also be on view to the public October 22–24 at the museum, with simultaneous presentations at the Guggenheim museums in Berlin, Bilbao, and Venice. Each of the 20 video makers will be invited guests at the private event the evening of October 21 at the museum where they will be honored.

Good luck!
