HASTAC is pleased to announce that it will again partner with the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI), giving HASTAC members the opportunity to register for the institute’s digital humanities courses at a discounted rate. DHSI will be held on 5–9 June and 12–16 June 2017 at the University of Victoria, and participants may choose to attend one or two weeks of the institute. Each week of DHSI will include a training workshop as well as a selection of colloquia, unconferences, panels, and institute lectures (by Julia Flanders [Northeastern U], Brewster Kahle [Internet Archive], and Elena Pierazzo [U Grenoble Alpes], as well as others TBA). With the University of Victoria Libraries and the Electronic Textual Cultures Lab, DHSI will also host the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing 2017 conference, "Technologies of the Book," from June 9-12.
Before 1 April 2017, HASTAC members can register for a weeklong course at the discounted rate of $300.00 for students and $650.00 for nonstudents. To view a list of all forty nine courses, to register, or to apply for a tuition scholarship, please go to dhsi.org. Be sure to register using a HASTAC discount code (HASTAC-Stdnt or HASTAC-NonStdnt).
