Team KAIZEN gets permission to recreate famous roller coaster!

Hey everyone!

As you all know, we're making a LittleBigPlanet level pack for HASTAC and the MacArthur Foundation that teaches S.T.E.A.M. through the use of thrill rides and roller coasters--well we have an AMAZING announcement on that front!

There is a group of people in Germany known as Barth und Sohn, and they happen to own the world's biggest traveling roller coaster, the Olympia Looping. Designed by famed builder Anton Schwarzkopf, Olympia Looping features 5 nearly-perfectly-circular loops that generate massive G-forces (one of which goes over 5 G's, where many coasters bigger than Olympia Looping barely top out at 4!). When standing in front of this 900+ ton beast, the 5 loops form the 5 Olympic Rings.

We are proud to announce that the Barth und Sohn group has given us permission to recreate Olympia Looping in LittleBigPlanet! Olympia Looping will be part of our pack to teach the physics behind roller coasters as well as a special cultural lesson on the meaning of the 5 Olympic Rings. (There is 5 rings for the 5 continents people come from, and the colors are the way they are because each participating nation has atleast one of those colors in their national flag.) Attached here is a video showing our work-in-progress version of Olympia Looping, and below is some links so you can learn more about Olympia Looping! Thanks!

Thanks everyone!
