I don?t think this event has been recognized on HASTAC yet?I certainly haven?t heard of it: the first Biennale conference, ?figures de l?interactivité,? to be held from November 19-21 at TAP, Théâtre et Auditorium de Poitiers. (Poitiers is in central west France, roughly equidistant from Paris and Lyon.) The conference features many of the most prominent scholars and artists of French and French-influenced new media research, including:
Hubertus von Amelunxen, Bertrand Augereau, Jacques Aumont, Yves Bernard, Samuel Bianchini, Jean-Louis Boissier, Victor Burgin, Jean-Claude Bustros, Jim Campbell, Grégory Chatonsky, Luc Couchesne, Frédéric Curien, Jean-Marie Dallet, Anne-Marie Duguet, Masaki Fujihata, Thierry Guibert, Christian Laroche, Georges Legrady, Alain Liedts, Julien Maire, Denis Mellier, Louis-Claude Paquin, Bernard Perron, Louise Poissant, Yannick Prié, Vincent Puig, Jeffrey Shaw, Douglas E. Stanley, Bernard Stiegler, Steina and Woody Vasulka, Gwenola Wagon, and Gene Youngblood.
More information can be found at: www.figuresinteractives.com.
The conference website itself isn?t particularly rich, but it does offer a biography of the participants, virtually all of whom have a website attached to their name. In lieu of being able to attend, this potential network is quite intriguing...
