This morning I have attended Statewide IT Conference at Indiana University. The keynote speaker was Nick Bilton. Yes, the very Nick Bilton who pushed the Federal Aviation Administration to reconsider their banning of our electronic devices on the plane. The talk was about the technology and its future for the academic settings. It was amasing to see how big the first computer was wiith only 4MB memory and how little our drives are now for over 80GB. Did you know that there are biometric computers now and the future computer might be embeded (like a tattoo) into a skin? So this raises an interesting issue - in the future we might need an "internet-free" zone in the classroom when we give our students exams!
