Group 3 Discussion: Conversation about Katie, Alma, Linda, Lori, and Dara's projects.

Our group decided to use the blog for a general group conversation/follow-up regarding our individual projects, and the feedback they received. So, based on that decision, here is the...

Group Three Discussion/Follow-Up Post

At this point, I think that everyone in Group 3 has gotten feedback to each other.* We've also all had a chance to sit back and reflect on what we've read, as well as the feedback we've given and received.

With that in mind, any final thoughts? Do you have any general comments on individual pieces that you wanted to raise here? Or, after looking over the feedback you received, do you have any follow up questions/comments?

Please reply to this post with any comments/questions for other members of our group.

* Except, I still owe Linda feedback. So sorry, it's coming!!

Hi Group 3,

Participating in this workshop has been really illuminating for me. Thank you so much for your feedback on my chapter -- hopefully it will, in fact, become an article someday :)

Talk to you on Twitter/email!

Best,

Dara

Hi Alma, Dara, Katie, and Linda,

Thank you all for your feedback and for helping make the workshop a great experience.  Special thanks to Katie for being our group leader.  (I'm sorry you had to juggle group leadership with end-of-the-semester grading, but you did a great job!)

If it's okay with all of you, I may be in touch with follow-up questions a few months from now when I really dig into my revisions.

If any of you have questions or would like additional feedback on your work, I'm just an email away.

I hope you all have a productive and restful summer,

Lori Beth

Alma, Dara, Katie, and Lori Beth,

I enjoyed working with each of you in this brief time, and hope that we'll find ways to continue to stay in touch. It's difficult to find supportive colleagues, and I am kind of overwhelmed at the generosity of time and spirit that quickly became a core aspect of our interactions. I know we can thank both Lori Beth and Katie for creating the environment in which that was possible.

Hope to see you out there in the digital world, and some of you perhaps at NCA?

All best,

Linda

Lori Beth, Dara, Linda, Katie-

Thank you so much for your time and encouragement. I really want to reflect Linda's sentiment of gratitude for the generousity you have all shown with your time. The week of the workshop was full of upheaval in my personal life and being able to "disconnect" from everything that was going on I found to be supportive and stimulating. And on top of it all, I walked away with the outline of an article, an interview and new materials that I can consult. Not to mention the contact information of four incredibly fabulous people who rock the academic world ;)

Good luck everyone and may your work be fufilling, your lives exciting and don't hestitate to send me an email if you ever want to stop on by my neck of the woods and sweat and soak in a temazcal.

PS- And a special thanks to Katie for being the leader and coordinating all of us! And to Lori Beth for working on this project
