Are any HASTAC scholars working on digital editions of books or other manuscripts?
I'm curious about what tools you're using or considering to display the digitized book(s) you are working with online. Are you using an already-available tool like the Internet Archive's BookReader? Are you building a tool from the ground up did the creators of the Shakespeare Quartos Archive? Or are you simply making the book(s) available as downloadable PDFs, as Emory University has done with its Yellowbacks project?
I'd love to hear about your thoughts on what approach to take to creating a digital edition. How does your decision about what tool to use or develop relate to concerns about the project's manageability, accessibility, or elegance in presentation?
