As the summer begins, I am ramping up work with digitalculturebooks. dcb is an imprint of the University of Michigan Press and the Scholarly Publishing Office of the University of Michigan Library dedicated to publishing innovative work in new media studies and the emerging field of digital humanities. Our website is www.digitalculture.org, which details the series we are publishing. You may recognize some of the authors from their work in digital humanities and even HASTAC events.
More from our website: "We seek to investigate all aspects of digital culture and to represent the full range of current and emerging theoretical and methodological approaches to understanding the implications of digital technologies. Under the digitalculturebooks umbrella are individual series addressing the digital humanities, new media adoption and use, regional and national studies of new media law and politics, game studies, public scholarship and new media, and education."
I thought that the HASTAC Scholars community, and indeed everyone involved with HASTAC, may want to know more about dcb. Please join our Facebook fan page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/digitalculturebooks/126078000755926
And follow us on Twitter here: http://www.twitter.com/Mdigitalculture
As the summer goes on, I will be sure to keep the HASTAC community in the loop about updates from the dcb group.
