The Imagination Desk Podcast

A host of iconic illustrations against a gold background: a coffee cup, a small plant, headphones, a microphone, an iPod, speech bubbles

The Imagination Desk is a podcast from the Center for Science and the Imagination at Arizona State University where we chat with artists, authors, scholars, scientists, and technologists about what inspires them and how they define and use imagination in their work. We recently launched Season 2, with episodes featuring Ytasha Womack, a novelist, dancer, filmmaker, and author of the book Afrofuturism: The World of Black Sci-Fi and Fantasy Culture, and Troy L. Wiggins, a speculative fiction author and cofounder of FIYAH Literary Magazine.

Future episodes in the season will feature Black feminist digital media researcher Moya Bailey, science fiction author and researcher Regina Kanyu Wang, and Katie Bouman, assistant professor of computing and mathematical sciences and electrical engineering at the California Institute of Technology.

You can learn more about the podcast here, and subscribe today at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and RadioPublic.
