Tell us your story.The Diversity Council at Washington State University Vancouver would like to invite art submissions by students and faculty from across the nation. Submissions include fine art or digital media works of art. Fine art works can include prints, photography, graphic art, sculptures, paintings and drawings. Digital media art can include animation, video, electronic literature, iPad applications, and sound art.
"My Story" is a juried show inside of two galleries, both devoted to the celebration and awareness of diversity. Thefirst gallery is located at Washington State University Vancouver's Dengerink Administration Gallery. The other is located at Nouspace Gallery & Media Lounge. "My Story" will be shown in both galleries throughout the month of March, 2013. "My Story" acknowledges differences of culture, religion, ethnicity, age, abilities, sexual orientation, class, race, nationality, and other cultural and societal markers.
All fine art works will be located in Washington State University Vancouver, Dengerink Administration Gallery, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave.
All electronic works of art will be presented in: Nouspace Gallery & Media Lounge, inside of North Bank Artists Gallery, 1005 MainSt., Vancouver, WA.
Expenses
No funds are yet available to cover shipping fees, travel, personal, andallother fees. All art mailed will have to be funded on behalf of the artist. None of the art mailed from artist will be insured by Washington State University Vancouver or its Diversity Council.
Submission Guidelines
Submissions begin December 1st, 2012 and end January31st, 2013. For consideration for the show, fine artists can send visual slides, and digital artists can send their digital portfolio containing their works. Please include your full name, a brief artist statement, a description of the work of art and contact information so that we can contact you. Artists will be notified of their inclusion in the show by January 18th, 2013.
