I'll admit, 6 months is a long time between posts, but there have been lots of changes lately to the project that have been keeping me busy. With the upcoming release of LittleBigPlanet 2 and recent breakthroughs in stem cell research, I've been busy plugging away at finding the perfect medium to fuse the two together. In an attempt to bring the player closer to the lab, I've created the following updates to Stem Cell Sackboy. With the help of the newer tools in LittleBigPlanet, these two videos boast the flexibility it gives us creators in providing a more substantial learning experience than before!

This first video focuses on Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer, one of the ways researchers extract embryonic stem cells.

This video focuses on proliferation and how stem cells are being used to create new lines of cells for a multitude of possible procedures.
Granted there is still a lot of work before the project is complete, hopefully these examples provide a better look into how much more variety can be placed in a gaming/learning environment provided by LittleBigPlanet 2.
Enjoy!

Really nice work, David --
Really nice work, David -- those are hands-down the nicest looking red cells I've seen! (And is that Elvis I see working there in the lab?) Thanks for posting your beta version. Can't wait to see the final product in Long Beach on March 4.
