Summer School, mobility opportunities and networking with the Internet Science community

Now that the summer is rapidly disappearing (in the UK at least), I thought it was a good time to email you to remind you of forthcoming opportunities to get involved with the Network of Excellence in Internet Science (EINS) project by participating in events planned for the autumn of 2013.

As many of you will be aware, the Second EINS Summer School will take place this October in Annecy, France. This year's Summer School is focused around two topics: 'Behaviour Analysis' and the 'Emergence of Networks'. If you know of any PhD students or early career researchers that would benefit from a week's intense study centred around these two subjects, please direct them towards the registration page: The Summer School will run from Monday 7th October and Friday 11th October at Novotel Hotel Annecy, 1 Place Marie Curie, 74000 Annecy, France.

In addition to forthcoming events, can I also remind you of the EINS Affiliate Programme. If you have any colleagues who you think would benefit from being part of the EINS community, please encourage them to apply to the Affiliate Programme (at: By joining the project as an affiliate, people will enjoy the benefits of access to funding, to summer schools, conferences and more! They will receive regular updates on the progress of the project, and will be able to get involved by posting on the project blog, by joining our annual conference and by collaborating with project members.

One final thing to mention is the EINS Mobility Programme. This is beginning to take off, with almost ten trips completed now and a further seven underway. If you are in the process of planning a trip, or would like more information on how to plan one, please get in touch. More information can always be found at:
