The founders of the MarineLives project need the help of the HASTAC community.
We are establishing an educational charity to be named Connecting Primary Sources, and would benefit enormously from the experience of the HASTAC community. We are volunteers with a passion for history, and share a belief in collaboration as a powerful force in both education and in life.
Connecting Primary Sources will be home for the ongoing MarineLives project, and for further research projects, brought to us by others, which will cross the academic/public history boundary, and which will mobilise volunteers from schools, universities, and the general public.
The charity will be active in North America, in Europe and in Asia Pacific.
We invite you to work with us to develop the concept and the organisation, to the benefit of future historians, citizens and the common good.
How can you help us?
* Your can share your experience as trustees and supporters of other educational charities
* You can tell us about what works and what doesn't work when mobilising people around a common charitable educational purpose
* You can inform us about your experience of running 501(c) (3) organisations in a North American collaboration with European based charitable organisations
