Our question for 14 years at Youth Voices has been how do we create spaces where youth can create and enter into conversations with peers from around the country about issues that matter to them. As educators working with youth, we’ve developed careful processes where youth start with their own questions, see where these intersect with other youth and with important civic issues, and develop inquiries over time. We’ve tried to capture these processes in some of our playlists.
Here is a presentation that Paul Allison and Christina Cantrill shared during a DML round robin in February 2017 about Sandboxes for Learning. And another set of links and resources shared at the grantee meeting in Chicago in March which includes examples of student work and teacher assessments.
Both are set to accept comments if you want to leave us some. Thank you!
