Register as a User

Why Register?

As a registered user, you gain access to a whole new layer of the HASTAC website. You will receive "The Needle" (the HASTAC newsletter), access to In|Formation year live webcasts and related learning modules, the ability to make posts to your own blogosphere, and authorization to participate in HASTAC discussion forums. Other features will be added as the site evolves

How to Register

1. Surf to https://www.hastac.org/user/register
2. Fill in your Username under 'Username:" and your E-mail address under "E-mail address:"
3. Fill in your contact information
4. Enter a brief bio note if you desire.
5. Read and accept the "Terms of Service"
6. Click on "Create new account"
7. If you forgot to fill in a mandatory field or there is some sort of error, the relevant fields will be outlined in red. Otherwise you will see "Your password and further instructions have been sent to your e-mail address". Check your email for an email with the subject "Account details for...". This email will confirm your username and will have your system generated password.
8. Login

We suggest that you change your password to something you can remember. The default HASTAC generated password can be hard to remember.
