Fellow-In-Residence
Tysean Bucknor is a PhD student in Linguistics at The Graduate Center and an Adjunct Lecturer at Brooklyn College. He studies the syntax of underdocumented languages, broadly speaking. More specifically, however, he studies the syntax of creole and Bantu languages. By studying such languages, Tysean hopes to increase awareness of linguistic diversity and the opportunity for people of the corresponding communities to study their own languages academically.
