Olivia Judson has a great NY Times column on two softwares that can save you from digital drowning. I've blogged about Zotero, the amazing Zotero, more than once. There's a shout out here in this Judson NY Times blog too: http://judson.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/12/16/defeating-bedlam/?emc=eta1

Are you using Zotero?
Check out the first in a series of articles on Innovators in Humantiies, Arts and Social Sciences Computing that has recently been published in HPCwire. The article features an interview with Daniel Cohen, a history professor at George Mason and director of the Center for History and New Media, an inaugural recipient of the American Council of Learned Societies' Digital Innovations Fellowship, and one of the developers and directors of Zotero, an innovative research collection, management and citation system.Â

TagCrowd, del.icio.us, Zotero, Needle, HASTAC: A Primer of Useful Online Sites
Submitted by Cathy Davidson on Oct 29, 2007, 10:05 AM
On my recent two-week visit at UIC, I was asked which online resources I use most frequently. I mentioned TagCrowd, del.icio.us, Zotero, Needle, and HASTAC (of course!). Several people didn't know about these and I promised to send them url's and a brief annotation of each. Most readers of this blog will know this already but, for those who don't, a primer. And I'd like all readers to use this column to share their own favorite tools, too.
