We couldn't figure out the purpose of an on-line newsletter when we have a news functionon the HASTAC blog, but we're now thinking about aggregating all our news as "Needle," and making it a collaborative newsletter, where you can post your jobs, grants, postdocs, fellowship opportunities, news, etc.

What is the social and psychological impact of real time ‘news' on the internet? Does it connect the human need for immediacy with the real world? How does the remediation of the ‘news' directly effect U.S. culture? and How it is skewing what we place value in? How will the news evolve in the future?
