Education Program in Austin

The SC08 Education Program in Austin during SC08 will run from November 15 - 18, 2008. Participants will be engaged in hands-on activities to engage them in applying computational science, grid computing and high performance computing resources in education. Housing, travel and meal costs are provided for participants. The program is open to undergraduate faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, and high school teachers. Instructors working with students with learning and physical challenges are encouraged to apply.

Participants are asked to pay a registration fee of $75 to cover food and materials. This fee will be refunded if notification of cancellations is received by October 1, 2008. Scholarships are available for people unable to cover the registration fee. Deadline for applications is July 31, with participants of the summer workshop August 10 - 16 at Oklahoma University being given full consideration if registered before Aug. 21, 2008.
