Here's a notice about an interesting project you might want to participate in. I copied this off the group page on Facebook. You can join there or by following the url's in this post. I found out about it via Kenny Miller's group post on Facebook.  Enjoy!

3:02 Your Time

Description:
This project is about life, captured by you.

We want you to take one photo on one day at one time – 3:02 Your Time

The aim is simple – to capture what’s going on in the world at a set moment in time.
To see how life varies, how it repeats itself.

If you want to be a part of this unique project there’s just one thing you need to do – take a photo at 3:02 Your Time on Saturday August 30th – and send it to 302mytime@gmail.com along with your name, country and a one line description.

There are just a few rules:

No photos of your cat looking all cute
No photos of your dog looking all cute

You get it.

Other important stuff:

3:02 - refers to 3:02pm / 15:02 - and the photo should be taken at your local time

You can take the photo on any device - just make sure it's under 5mb in size when you come to send it

send photos by september 4th

By submitting a photo you are giving us the right to publish it, whether that be online, or in print, and you will receive no monetary compensation. There will however be a general feeling of goodness that comes with having taken part it something so cool.

We'll put all the photos on a blog - and the really cool ones might even make it into a real life book. true.

Back to School Scramble...

Hi Cathy, On August 30, at 3:02 pm, huh?

Judging by the date/time w/our Shaping Youth tween/teen advisors, I'll go out on a limb and predict a 'back to school' flurry of either 'last minute summer fun and water escapades OR school supply gathering and edgy anticipation of the new school year...It does sound like a fun challenge to toss their way and just 'see' as a freeze frame/life snapshot...!

The S.F. Yerba Buena Ctr. for the Arts/Dalai Lama Foundation did a similar 'real time' museum project to see common humanity/touchpoints about 'making peace' ---They asked visitors to use cellphone photos answering 'what part does peace play in your life' and then posted them to see the overlapping themes created by various people which formed the exhibition itself to create a mosaic in real time...Fabulous concept: http://peace.tmpp.org/tv/x/index.jsp

Creative use of multimedia and museum/mobile technology too...

We'd love to hear about more
