2nd World Knowledge Dialogue Symposium - Towards integrated knowledge for the 21st century - Sept. 10 to 13 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland

The second World Knowledge Dialogue (WKD) Symposium will be held on September 10-13, 2008 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland. The biennial event is an interdisciplinary discussion forum for 300 top researchers and policy makers from all over the globe. It aims to give them a broader, shared perspective of our world so they can better contribute to resolving its problems.

This year's dialogue builds on the two themes - Collective Network Knowledge & Human Individual Intelligence / Collaborative Behavior, Altruism & Conflict - with presentations by invited speakers as well as contributions selected from abstract submissions. Harvard's internationally acclaimed naturalist, humanist and Pulitzer Prize winner E. O. Wilson will be the "Scientist in Residence". Interested participants can submit abstracts for presentation and for young researchers and educators in all disciplines, a substantial number of travel grants and reduced registration fees are available.
