Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Symposium on April
16-17, 2008. This event will be held at the Hilton-RDU in Durham, N.C.
The symposium – Expanding Broadband: Staying Competitive in the 21st Century Economy
– will focus on the new and evolving technical, political, legal, and
financial issues surrounding broadband deployment, including municipal
broadband. Top industry experts and community leaders will come
together to share their knowledge and practical hands-on experiences in
deploying and utilizing wireless and broadband infrastructure to
deliver vital community services. Special features in this year’s
conference include sessions about PEG (Public, Educational,Government)
channel trends and Web-casting/Podcasting workshops.
The 5th Annual Southeast ICT will feature remarks from Jane Smith
Patterson of the e-NC Authority, State Rep. Earl Jones, and Alan
Blatecky of the Renaissance Computing Institute, in addition to panels
on net neutrality, broadband policy, and much more.
