Winners of the 2008 Bloggies

As I promised I would do here, announcing the winners of the Bloggie Awards. (A little late, they were chosen at SXSW a week and a half ago).

Dooce wins Blog of the Year, Best American Weblog, and Best-Designed Weblog, and its author Heather Armstrong wins the Lifetime Achievement designation.

Jezebel wins Best New Blog and Best Group Blog.

PostSecret (whose creator also has several books in publication, for your non-internets friends to enjoy) wins Best Community Blog.

So Very Alone wins Best Kept-Secret Blog, which I had never looked at until now and spent about 10 minutes reading in fascination; highly recommended based on how well it distracted me from everything. And if you like blunt honesty.

And yes indeed, the LOLcats and walruses lamenting their lost buckets at I Can Has Cheezburger? have won Best Topical Blog. You can click on my first link up top to read the complete list of winners.
