Feminist POC Wikipedia Takeover!

March 15th, 2013 * 11am - 3pm

Please join us for the Graduate Center's first-ever Feminist POC Wikipedia Takeover! This will be a fun, informal event designed to help those of us who are currently under-represented in Wikipedia learn to edit and contribute to the encyclopedia. This is part of the #tooFEW project.

Wondering what we're talking about?

  • Well, currently fewer than 10% of Wikipedia's editors are women. Let's change that.
  • Or, perhaps you know an awesome Black feminist writer who just wrote her first book?
  • Or an important woman of color disability justice activist who needs to be added to the site.
  • Or, is there an important moment of Trans* activism that's not on Wikipedia?
  • How about an important documentary or two that needs to be reflected?

If you said yes to any of these questions, then we're looking at you!

This will be a hands-on, learn-as-you-go, collaborative workshop. Just bring a computer, your brains, and your scholarship.

Please join us:
