HASTAC materials

To prepare HASTAC events for use as course material, each event will be archived and then supplemented with downloadable open source materials for educational purposes. A typical course pack might require a) research into the subject of the webcast talk in order to generate an annotated bibliography, inc appropriate links; b) a summary or response to the talk or performance with provocative questions and more research about other scientists and scholars who have addressed those questions in similar or different ways; c) course materials (as appropriate to the age of the students and the nature of the presentation) including discussion questions, study questions, essay and exam questions; d) suggestions for lectures and ideas for how this unit could fit into various kinds of syllabi. Educators at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate level will then be free to download these prepared course packs from the HASTAC website for use in their classes, as agreed upon by Creative Commons licenses.
