Chris McGuinness is a PhD candidate in ethnomusicology at the CUNY Graduate Center, writing his dissertation on electronic music production in India. He has authored publications on the history of protest music in India, electronic music production in Mumbai, and sample libraries. Chris received a B.S. in mathematics from The City College of New York and taught music at The City College and Brooklyn College. His pedagogical interests include visualization, sonification, maps, and digital representations of music and sound. Chris also has extensive experience in South Asia as a music producer and DJ.
