I went to UNC Monday afternoon to see Dan Gillmor talk on the State of Citizen Media. When Gillmor said "mobile phones are the form factor of emerging citizen journalism, NOT laptops" I was reminded that I was sitting next to my friend Jay who was liveblogging the talk using Twitter and email from his iPhone while my laptop was blocked from accessing the UNC campus network and was serving as a versatile yellow legal pad in comparison. Hmm. There's a point there somewhere, let me find a mirror...
