I have been thinking recently about the use of different languages within the sphere of new media - a topic I have not really seen discussed at length. I have been reading the blog of an Austrian professor who writes almost exclusively in German. After reading through months of entries, I realized that the rare times he uses English (aside from specialized terms or direct quotations) it is used for sarcastic comments. Hello! Reading the various discussions that are taking place on the message board & blogs has been a fantastic experience. I have so many thoughts swirling around & I hope soon enough to capture them here in length. As for my own situation - I'm currently in a kind of geographical limbo.
